Why isn’t crypto everywhere yet?
It’s 2026 — why can’t I just pay with crypto at the supermarket or gas station like cash? What’s actually holding mass adoption back right now?

Mass adoption is stuck mostly on volatility (merchants hate price swings), slow/expensive confirmations on some chains, regulatory uncertainty, and simple UX - most people don’t want to deal with wallets, gas, addresses. The workaround that’s actually moving the needle is wallets with instant fiat conversion at point-of-sale via virtual/physical cards. You hold crypto, merchant gets fiat, you barely notice. It’s how I pay for a lot of everyday stuff already. This one focuses exactly on bridging that gap: https://plumex.io/ - they explain why direct acceptance is slow but spendable crypto is ready now. It’s not perfect (still fees, not every country), but it’s the first time I feel crypto can be “normal money” for regular people. Direct POS acceptance will probably take another 3–5 years at least.
